My Hard work is paying off!

Hey ya'll- today has been such a great day for me. For one, I weighed this afternoon and found out that I had lost TWO and 1/2 lbs., I am so excited! My brother made me feel really awesome, he said that I probably lost more than that, but some turned into muscle, I was like YES!


Here is what I have been doing so far:

1.} Bob Harper Workout {with my SIL} for 45 minutes per day.

2.} Swimming 3x or more per week @ 1-2 hours.

3.} Portion Control.

4.} No snacking at night.

5.} Adding more raw foods to my diet.

6.} Started back taking my Energy & Metabolism Vitamins.



This is just what I needed to turn things around, I feel so much better mentally and physically. I am very excited to reach my GW!










My New Android Phone

Hey dolls! Guess what I got today? My new Android Phone!!!! I was a little dissapointed {that is an understatement} that the Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G touch does not come with the cute cases like iPhone does {Etsy has the most amazing ones that I want!} I am thinking of an iPhone in my future this year..maybe for Christmas?? Anyway, I do LOVE my new phone- I immediately installed these apps- Kindle, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Starbucks. I am an app whore, so I am pretty sure there will be many more added soon!




So I found these cute Chevron Wallpapers for the iPhones {I just tried them on my phone and they won't work, wahhh}.  I'm kind of liking the second one- I am partial to grey & mustard color combinations {obviously, since those are my Blog colors}. Which one is your fave?










My New Committment to Myself



Okay, so there is a subject that I don't discuss much on the Blog, just because it's not my favorite topic. But, with that being said, I need to talk about it, because it is a huge part of something going on in my life and the topic is my weight gain.


All of my life, I have been the skinny girl, I could eat whatever I wanted, never gained weight, until I turned 31 and it seemed like my metabolism became my enemy. I've held onto this weight gain for a few years and have blamed it on the stress of the house remodel/job/negative people {all of those things are out of my life now- thank goodness!} but honestly, there will always be some stress in my life, I have to learn to eat in a healthy manner and not eat emotionally.


Which leads to another thing about myself that I would like to work on- stop holding in my feelings, especially if something is bothering me. I was proud of myself this year, when I called my sister and told her that we needed to talk because I felt there was tension between us. We went for a nice stroll together and talked it out like adults, and you know what?....we are even closer now than we were before and we understand each other's feelings/boundaries better. Nothing good comes from holding in hurt feelings...I'm learning to talk and let things go..


So enough about feelings, what I really wanted to talk to you about is my new committment to myself! I don't know exactly how it happened, but it was like a light switched on and I have been motivated to lose these few LBs. Everyday, I have been working out with my SIL for 45 minutes to Bob's workout, eating smaller portions, and swimming laps in the pool {when it's not raining}. I also started back writing in my journal and wrote a list of the things that I love about myself- honestly, it made me feel much more confident, I am quite the likeable girl <3. Who knew? {apparentally not me}


I also have an upcoming shopping trip this Monday with my SIL & our hubbys and also the following Monday, my sister and I have a girls shopping day planned. So I have plenty of motivation to tone up a little so I can find some cute clothes & do a fashion post on the blog!


I can't tell you how excited I am for this- Life is to be lived now {today} , not tomorrow..I've been living in way too many tomorrows, no more. Life starts right now for me..like the Blog Title reads "My Life Being Renewed"..but that is a post for another day. Be back soon!

Downtime...

Hi you guys! I've missed you all and the Blog, but that's all about to change now that I'm finally going to be home!! I just found out yesterday that I don't have to go into the office until around October- which is awesome for me, because I could definitely use some downtime. The only downside is that the hubby is going to be out of town working for about 2.5 weeks and I will be home alone and we've never been apart for more than a couple of days. Not going to lie, it is going to be awkward and maybe a little lonely..

 
 



But, I plan on making the most of it and I already have a list of things that I can do to keep myself entertained. I could use any ideas if you want to send them my way!


                                          1.} Clean/Organize for October Sale

                                          2.} Take some online classes

                                          3.} Practice my photography {maybe do fashion post & update blog pic}

                                          4.} Exercise with SIL & Swim daily

                                          5.} Enter Giveaways - preferably vacays!

                                          6.} September 10 - shopping with my sister!

                                          7.} Spa Day {mani/pedis, facial, etc.}

                                          8.} Hair appointment- highlights to surprise the hubby?

                                          9.} Tan by pool- read books
                           
                                         10.} Play on Pinterest, Read Blogs

                                         11.} Babysit for my sister

                                         12.} Plan a chick flick movie day!

                                         13.} Re-learn how to crochet

                                         14.} Journal {work for my book that I want to write}

                                         15.} Try to take Roscoe for more daily walks

                                         16.} Plan Anniversary Trip
                       
                                         17.} Work on September Goals {especially raw food diet}

 


So yeah, I think I will have plenty to keep me busy while the hubby's gone..so I can try to not miss him so much <3.

Upcoming Goals!

Hi everyone! Honestly, I've been back from our work trip for a week now, but I admit I've been lazy about blogging- most of my days have been filled with swimming, working out with my friend, hanging out with my family, sleeping in, etc. I wanted to blog today about everything that is going on and how I did on my July goals!


July Goals

Eat more salads, raw foods- I really worked on being conscious of eating healthier this month!

Drink more water - I definitely aced this one!

Spend Less $$$ - What worked for me was just staying out of the stores & I only spent on the necessary food and drink- I am so proud of me!!

Better skin routine - I did use my new Salicylic Facial Wash & I wore my Aveeno 90 sunscreen daily

Daily Vitamins - I did great on taking my vitamins!

Nail Biting - BIG Fail!!! I had alot of stress and I took it out on my nails.

I also had a much needed talk with my sister- I felt like we had been growing apart lately & it felt so good to just talk it out and now things are way better!!


Now that we have the July Goals out of the way, I wanted to update you guys on the job situation. As everyone knows, we are currently on the road working for 19-20 days out of the month and having to leave our dog at home with my sister. I talked to the Big Boss yesterday and she said that it was definite that Reggie {my husband} has a job in the office but she wasn't sure if I would be in the office yet or not, so my job is still in the air. August is our last road on the month, so I am pretty excited about that part!  I have decided that either way it works out that I will deal with it, I already have plans next month while I am home and the hubby is working. My To Do List has gotten so long because we have been working on the road for this entire year, with barely any time off!


August Goals {Will be on the road for 20 days- so pretty much just eat, sleep, pray and work}


September Goals

Exercise Daily with my SIL {Bob/Jillian Workout} & also try to swim for 30 min. to 1 hour

Keep up my daily vitamins, more h20, add in more raw foods & green smoothies

Tan by the pool- read some books {invite my sister over to hang out}

Shopping Trip planned with my sister {August 27}

My sister already volunteered to help me sort/organize through all of my house stuff- I am planning to have a yardsale in October hopefully. I am going to put all of the extra $$ for paying off bills.

Listen to online Church Sermons/Read my Bible

Meet with Real Estate Agent to get house back on market.

Blog More {more photography} & find my niche{s}

Callaway Gardens Trip

I can't even tell you how excited I am for this to be our last month, working on the road, away from home. I have learned so much this year and I appreciate so much more of my life, my family and the small things that make me happy. I will probably be having a celebratory party involving champagne when we get home this month- stay tuned!!!
