I am continuing to pray over my job future and wait on God. As much as I love being my own boss; what I miss most is having paid vacations and leave. Right now, if I get sick or want to go on vacation, it comes out of my own pocket. I was recently contacted by a recruiter for a local Plant Manager Position but I haven't applied for the position. It seems like a very busy and stressful job and that's not something that I want. I walked away from my job at the Law Firm last year because of extreme stress and I don't plan on walking back into a job like that ever again.
Right now, I am praying about it and using this time to work on getting our house together and goals accomplished. I plan on starting 2017 off on a great note! I am looking forward to our Fall Party + end of the year vacation coming up as well as Christmas- so still loads of fun to be had this year!
What are your remaining 2016 goals?
Looks like you have been very productive! Such a tough situation with the job. I work in the legal field now and I know what you mean about stress, but the PTO and benefits are nice. I hope you find exactly what you're meant to do!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura! Yes, the legal field can definitely be stressful and I also did the marketing, event planning and managed the office- it was way too much for me to handle without an assistant! I do miss the PTO and benefits- I'm continuing to pray to see where God leads me. I can't wait to see what he has planned!! :) xxo, Melinda
DeleteWe definitely have a lot of the same goals with renovations. I can't wait to get going on mine more.
ReplyDeleteYes! I feel like there is always a to-do list but it is getting shorter and shorter! I look forward to reading more on your blog! :) xxo
DeleteI love lists so much. Now I have a big giant master list and a 3 part smaller list and use my fav pen <3
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling! I don't know what I would do without my lists :) I love the idea of having a giant master list and also a smaller list- I might have to try that. xxo, M
