My Life Being Renewed: Working on finishing my 2016 goals!

Working on finishing my 2016 goals!

October 5, 2016

Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well! As usual, I have been working really hard on finishing up 2016 strong so that the hubby and I can enjoy 2017 with more travel, fun and rest. Enough of this being so busy and working so hard all of the time. I'm ready for some rest and relaxation!

Here is what I have been working on:

>> Painted 5 interior doors
>> Sold 3 things on swap & shop $130 total
>> Cleaned all coffee machines
>> Poured concrete for garage drive + well house
>> Updated my LinkedIn + Resume
>> Ordered Bai water via Amazon Prime for hubby to bring to work
>> Costco Card renewed + stocked up on organics
>> Book promotion coming up October 10-17 for my VA Book (It will be reduced from $7.99-$1.99)

Remaining 2016 Goals:

>> Finish Concrete
>> Finish decluttering garage- I still have so much more to get rid of!
>> Shutters
>> Kitchen Back-splash
>> Interior Trim (we have to get our saw back from my brother- so this is on hold)
>> Write/Publish 1-2 more books for Amazon
>> Reach goal weight
>> Fit in one more beach trip before 2017?

I am continuing to pray over my job future and wait on God. As much as I love being my own boss; what I miss most is having paid vacations and leave. Right now, if I get sick or want to go on vacation, it comes out of my own pocket. I was recently contacted by a recruiter for a local Plant Manager Position but I haven't applied for the position. It seems like a very busy and stressful job and that's not something that I want. I walked away from my job at the Law Firm last year because of extreme stress and I don't plan on walking back into a job like that ever again.

Right now, I am praying about it and using this time to work on getting our house together and goals accomplished. I plan on starting 2017 off on a great note! I am looking forward to our Fall Party + end of the year vacation coming up as well as Christmas- so still loads of fun to be had this year!

What are your remaining 2016 goals?

  1. Looks like you have been very productive! Such a tough situation with the job. I work in the legal field now and I know what you mean about stress, but the PTO and benefits are nice. I hope you find exactly what you're meant to do!

    1. Hi Laura! Yes, the legal field can definitely be stressful and I also did the marketing, event planning and managed the office- it was way too much for me to handle without an assistant! I do miss the PTO and benefits- I'm continuing to pray to see where God leads me. I can't wait to see what he has planned!! :) xxo, Melinda

    1. I know the feeling! I don't know what I would do without my lists :) I love the idea of having a giant master list and also a smaller list- I might have to try that. xxo, M
