My Life Being Renewed: A Peek Inside my Healthy Fridge!

A Peek Inside my Healthy Fridge!

August 16, 2016

I don't know about you, but I love peeking inside of healthy fridges!! Since I have a lot going on this week, I thought I would do a short & sweet post showing you what's inside my fridge. Are you ready?!

I'm trying to drink less dairy so I stocked up on coconut creamer. Target had it on sale for $1.90 plus I had a $1 off coupon when you buy three. I'm not that great with coupons but I try!

This cauliflower "rice" has been so amazing to help kick my rice addiction!!

Publix had the Udis pizza on sale for 2 for $10 this week!

Grass fed Butter for Bulletproof coffee!

Pete and Gerry's Organic Eggs are on sale at Publix this week for $3.99- I bought 3 cartons!

 Organic fruit

All of the grains pictured are for the hubby since he is still eating grains. Sadly, I can't have any of those but honestly, I don't miss them quite as much as I did in the beginning. I also picked up some organic chicken, ground sausage, grass-fed steaks and beef.

Like I mentioned in my last post, I am back on the Ketogenic Diet which makes me feel amazing! What I love about eating this way is that I have tons of energy and also that I don't have to limit what I eat. I'm also seeing results from my HIIT daily workouts. I am on week two and this week, my sister, Becky is now joining me in getting healthy and toned! Right now we are doing mostly burpees, jump squats, planks, high knees, etc. and we are definitely feeling the burn!

We are planning on doing a girl's shopping + Starbucks day once we both get to our goal weight. Shopping is definitely the best way to get me motivated!

What type of eating plan do you prefer?

  2. Hi Allison! I have never tried carb cycling but I have heard of it. I kind of like the idea of having some carbs and then switching up! It sounds really interesting!

I haven't completely cut dairy- I have to agree with you, cheese is pretty amazing :)

    1. Hi Clarissa! Basically it's a Low Carb, High Fat Diet. It eliminates, sugars, grains, legumes, alcohol and high sugar fruits. Hope that helps!

  6. I think cheese is okay with keto, but I feel like I need to at least TRY eliminating dairy. So often we don't even realize we have sensitivities until we do an elimination diet or blood testing. But cheese!!! I appreciate how you showing the things you bought for your hubs as I'm sure many of us may be "jumping in" but have more reticent family members. :)

  7. Maria, yes cheese is okay with Keto. I do have allergies and am thinking it may be dairy. I know there are many Keto dieters that eliminate the dairy as well. Yes, I agree! My husband still likes his healthy grains and organic icecream but I can't complain because he still eats super healthy! :) xxo, M

  8. I log how eating healthy doesn't mean you sacrifice flavor. I personally have started a semi vegan diet and I feel so much better :) thanks for sharing!

  9. Gluten and dairy (in small portions for dairy) do not bother me, but other than that, I would love for my fridge to look like yours. We are on a VERY tight budget for now, but I hope that I can find some healthy options for lower prices. Aldi is the best I've seen for that so far. And it's comforting knowing they are run by the same people who own Trader Joes :)

    1. Hi Kristin! Aldi is an amazing place to find healthy foods- the closest one to me is about 3 hours away and I loved shopping there last month! I also shop Trader Joe's and Big Lots also has lots of great organic foods. Surprising, but true! :) xxo, M

  10. Nice post. Do you prefer specialized Commercial dairy freezer for dairy items?
