My Life Being Renewed: September 2013

Sunday- Day at the Park..

September 30, 2013

Sunday, when the hubby got back- I made a picnic and we walked to the park and had a picnic by the water- it was such a pretty day. Lots of people out and about- walking, riding bikes, playing- so peaceful.

Roscoe really enjoyed it and even was able to walk for a little while & was able to potty on his own which in itself is a small miracle!!

There is also a walking track around the lake that we have just started going to every day to get Roscoe out of the apartment- it's been a nice little thing for all of us. I'm really excited for the Fall weather when I can wear my scarves & drink hot cocoa while we walk..

What are you most looking forward to in the Fall?

Weekend So far...

September 29, 2013

//Friday- we went to my co-worker/friend's apartment and had pizza and hung out. I mostly played with Kylie-we played pretend Birthday Party (for me), had a nail painting party and a tea party- I had fun!
I feel like I wasn't the best company because I was already tired from the work week and dealing with Roscoe and the nightly train that keeps coming through and waking us up at 1:00 and 3:00 a.m., but I made the best of it and ended up having a really good time!

//Saturday- Slept in until 8:00- had coffee & then unloaded the last of the moving stuff from the suburban. We went to Brunch at Liams.

Hubby ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken- which was amazing!

And I ordered the Grits & Eggs- although halfway through I couldn't finish because looking at the poached eggs kept making me queasy.

//Saturday after brunch, we headed to Tallahassee to do some shopping. We didn't buy too much- mostly groceries from Costco and Earth-fare. We checked out the progress on Trader Joes- it will be open in the next two weeks!!! I am SO excited!!

I did buy this cute bag from Marshall's- I am in love with it!

//Sunday {today}- the hubby is working on finishing our temporary power pole for the new house. When he gets back we plan on going on a picnic at Cherokee Park right down from our apartments. It's such a beautiful day for a picnic and a stroll..

My Weekend To Do's...

September 19, 2013

{I have been so busy that I haven't had my hair trimmed in months!!! It has gotten so long- I am wondering now if I should keep it long or cut it..any ideas??}

Hi Lovelies!! Hope you all had a fabulous week! I had a great week, but I am really looking forward to the weekend since I have so much on my TO DO list!!

//Quick Update: Things are good right now- our dog, Roscoe is the same- he still can't walk and recently he got some kind of pneumonia and was coughing excessively to the point that we only were able to get a couple of hours sleep per night, but after lots of natural cough medicines, honey & natural sinus medicines- he has finally stopped coughing, which makes his being paralyzed, seem like no big deal!! Our jobs are great- we both have great bosses which is always nice! The house has been at a standstill for over 1 month because of a last minute moving decision {not ours}. But regardless, I know that GOD has an amazing plan for our future! We may be down for a minute, but never out!! I will elaborate more in a later blog post..but anywhoo, onto the weekend plans!!

//Friday - Laundry Day (bring books/iphone)
//Friday- Hubby is assembling the Power Pole for our temporary power, then hopefully we can get someone out soon so we can have temporary power at our land, then have the well installed. Then we can actually get moving on this house building!!
//Saturday morning- Unpack and organize the apartment.
//Saturday afternoon- Take a break and hang out by the pool/tan.
//Sunday- go to church, play tennis in the afternoon
//Sunday- give myself a facial, pedi, etc.
//Sunday- Bake some healthy casseroles for the work week for lunches.
//Sometime between Saturday and Sunday- hubby can email out house plans to builders for bidding.

What do you have planned for the weekend? Anything fun??

Our New Place..

September 18, 2013

Yes, you heard it right- we just moved again!! We are going to be living at these new apartments for the next 6 months while our new house is being built. Honestly, to say that I am excited about the apartment gym is an understatement. I miss going to a real gym- working out at home really isn't my thing. There is also a tennis court and not one but TWO pools!! Hopefully, we can enjoy the last of summer hanging by the pool.

It wasn't our original plan to move out while building our new home, but to be honest, it has so many more amenities than where we were living- the dishwasher was broken and we didn't have an icemaker (no more living in the 70's ice trays!!). The apartments are also about 5 minutes from our downtown offices so we can go home for lunch and check on Roscoe.

The apartment also has storage for our extra things- but we rented out storage for 6 months for all of my husband's tools, so that worked out well. I love the fact that we won't have to worry about mowing the lawn or even as much as changing a light bulb! I remember now why I liked apartment living so much..

We should have everything all unpacked by the next week- although I haven't made up my mind if I want to hang pictures and get too settled in since we will be moving into our new home in 6 months. We will see..

September Goals!

September 16, 2013

Oh my, I can't believe it is the middle of September already!! Honestly, so much has been going on in August that I wasn't able to complete all the goals that I had set, but things will be settling back down within the next two weeks and I can get back on track. I will fill you in on all the details of what has been going on in my life in my next blog post. Enough about that- let's get to the Goals!!
