2012 Accomplishments & 2013 Resolutions!

December 20, 2012

Merry Christmas Bloggie friends!!  Only five days left until Christmas- have you gotten your Christmas Shopping done? I am finished, with the exception of making my nieces some scarves.

I wanted to look back on my 2012 Year Accomplishments & make my 2013 Resolutions/Goals.

2012 Accomplishments

Opened my Etsy Shop & made 2 sales so far
Re-learned Crochet- have sold 3 scarves so far
Lost & Maintained 8 lb weight loss
Started Back Running
Made 1 new friend {IRL} and lots of new friends in the blogworld!
Renewed a family relationship
Started my new blog & almost have 100 followers now!
Traveled all over the state of Texas- found some new healthy eating spots {Newks is the bomb!}
Obtained my ICC Training & A/B Operator Training
Finished House Remodel & Put House Back on the Market
Bought a New DSLR Camera

Most of all, I learned in 2012, what I really wanted out of life and what is really important to me- when we were on the road working almost 100 hour weeks- I missed the little things in life. It's not about how much money I earn or what materialistic things that I have- I learned that what I really love in life are the small things and also my relationships with family/friends.

 2013 Resolutions/Goals

Maintain Running/Strength Training 5-7 days per week
Eat more Raw Foods/Greens/Smoothies
Drink more water
Grow Nails
Obtain Job
Sell House
Finish Degree
Travel!! {Go to the Beach & camping next year}
Build a New House- throw some parties {spa day/pj party/bbq}!
Have myself a Fabulous Birthday Party!!
Sell our Suburban & Buy a more Fuel Efficient vehicle
Take Some Professional Photos of the hubby & I {romantic photos}
Declutter more- have another sale!
Go to some garage sales- buy house decor, yarn, etc.
Buy an iPhone & iPad/cases.
Finally use up Restaurant.com, Groupon & Living Social coupons
Mark some things off of my bucket list- ziplining, hot air balloon ride {only been in a tethered one}
Grow my Blog & Etsy Shop
Spend more time with my nephews & nieces- froyo, camping, pj parties.

That is all that I can think of for now, I plan on buying a cute frame and putting my 2013 Goals in it so that I can see it everyday. I saw the idea on Lauren Conrad's Blog and thought it was so cute!

What are your 2012 & 2013 Accomplishments & Resolutions?

Victorian Christmas in my Hometown

December 15, 2012

Hi there! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I wanted to let you all know that I revised my Etsy Shop and you can now see my Etsy Shop on the top of my blog page, I just added some new things to the shop, so be sure to check it out!'

We stopped at the BookShelf to get coffee - my SIL was checking out the cupcakes

I made the scarf that I am wearing- it's in my Etsy Shop
{The Shop I am standing in {Tuscogas} is where I had my Antique Booth- unfortunately the rent was too high which cut into my profits each month} But I do love shopping there!

Hubby said he could make me one of these for my Etsy Shop- so excited!

We had so much fun downtown looking in all of the shops and having coffee and treats. Afterwards, we ate at Ruby Tuesdays because every other restaurant was packed because of Victorian Christmas. Later we had icecream and went to Big Lots and we found the cutest set of lighted christmas trees to go on our front porch {for our future house of course}. It was the perfect night!

Go After Your Dreams!

December 12, 2012

Hi Lovelies,
Guess what I did the past weekend- I re-learned how to crochet again!! I haven't crocheted anything in almost 15 years- it was so easy to pick back up. Although, honestly I have only done the simple crochet, but I plan on moving on to more complicated patterns soon. This particular scarf that I am wearing is up for sale in my Etsy Shop and I will have more to come soon! If you want an infinity scarf in a particular color, let me know and I can make you one- I am selling them for very reasonable prices.

This makes for two items that I have marked off my bucket list in the past month- first my Etsy Shop {I sold my first item last week!} and now crocheting! It feels great to finally accomplish things that I have dreamed about doing forever. I have a couple more goals that I am working on as well- losing the last few lbs and also growing my nails.

What are some goals that you want to accomplish and are working towards?

Life Checkup

December 4, 2012

Hi Lovelies! It's been a little busy here lately to say the least, I have so many things that I am trying to work on at the same time. Just thought it would be fun to do a little Life Checkup to see how I am progressing. Here are some things that I've been working on lately:

Business Selling my Vintage/Designer Finds-  I am on the fence about staying on Etsy or starting my own online shop, I know that facebook could be a great help as well, but I will have to check into how to do the payment methods- if anyone has any input, I would love the advice! I am hesitant about listing all of my items on Etsy until I can figure out what to do..Oh yeah & I started a new page with some of my vintage/designer finds- it's at the top of my blog if you want to check it out. I will update once I take some more pictures.

Health/Fitness I started back running every morning {just this week} and I feel so much better already- I am also working out with Strength Training in the afternoon and usually a 30-45 minute brisk walk. I made a pact with my sister that we would reward ourselves with a shopping spree once we got to our GW! That's definitely motivation in my book & I only have 10 lbs that I want to lose. I've also been taking my daily vitamins & drinking smoothies.

Career- I applied for 2 jobs at the Main Hospital and one at another medical center. The hubby applied for a job at Acosta as well.

Self & Relationships with others I have been working on trying to let go & look past things that people do. It isn't easy, especially when someone makes a passive aggressive/snarky remark or put down. What do you do in that type of situation? I never confront anyone, but it does hurt my feelings and upsets me. I am working on not holding on to negative things that people say or do to me because in the end, it really hurts me more than it does them, so they win both ways.

Spiritual Healing I have been praying alot more lately about things in my life and have had to rely on my faith and trusting in God and I've seen that he has my back. I have also noticed that my "social anxiety" is so much better- usually when I go places, if there are too many people I get anxiety, but yesterday we went everywhere and not once did it bother me- thank God!

Marking things off my Bucket List/Doing New Things I can be a little bit of a home-body, but I've been working really hard to do new things and go out and have fun. Lately, I have visited the Christmas Light Festival, Holiday Wine Festival, went to an outdoor movie screening, tried fried pickles, made new friends-in real life & online, visited South Carolina & watched a Play, and strolled downtown Thomasville shops with coffee in hand- it was about time since I do actually live in the town..

Finances/Budget I've been doing great with this one- I have not been spending much money at all. Mostly, I've been using the gift certificates/gift cards that I had to buy things and eating what is already in my pantry.

Some things that I still need to work on are growing my nails and drinking water- I am embarrassed to say, but I probably only drink a few glasses of water during the day- no wonder my face has been so puffy lately!

What are some of the things/goals {big or small} that you have been working on lately?
