Enjoying the Fall..

Every Afternoon, the hubby & I go for a walk and share a cup of coffee- today was a little different. We decided it would be fun to take some photos of me "trying to chop wood" the photos turned out pretty good, but I am definitely no expert at chopping wood. Thank goodness the hubby is, because we have been using alot of wood in the fireplace lately.

I am really enjoying the Fall Weather- walks, hot cocoa, movies, etc.

These photos were taken at my MIL Home Thanksgiving Week- honestly, I just threw this on to walk the dog because Turkey juice was accidentally spilled on my blouse & jeans.

On Another Note, This Thanksgiving week has been a little tough on us, because no one has called back with job offers yet {most likely because of the Holidays} and I'm not going to lie, even with my faith in God, it's difficult when you are getting low on $$ and wondering what is going to happen next. My point is, I prayed for just a small ray of HOPE from God, just something to hold onto & to give us some hope. And I believe he delivered..here are some things that happened this week that were blessings..

I won a $25 American Express Gift Card through FB

The hubby & I won $25 JcPenny Gift Certificate

The hubby & I won a second JcPenny Gift Certificate for $20

Hubby found a $6 Crockpot that is the perfect size for us!

Hubby went on an Interview for a Nursery Manager last Saturday

Two jobs opened up at the Hospital & I applied for them

Someone might be interested in buying our Suburban {praying!}

Our online House views are increasing, despite the Holidays

We received the $50 credit for Amex Small Business Saturday

My MIL sent us home with lots of groceries, so I won't have to spend $$ on groceries for a little while

We found 6 boxes of Kcups for cheap prices

I also opened my new Etsy Shop! Be sure to check it out in a day or two- I have a gorgeous vintage coat, Italian Scarf & vintage sunglasses, plus more that I will be putting in my shop!

What is so amazing is the fact that we had money to spend at JcPenny's for Christmas- we went yesterday and bought a gift for one another and we still have $25 left to spend for at least 2 more gifts! I honestly didn't think we were even going to have a Christmas and I had come to terms with it already. I don't care what anyone says, God does care about what may seem like small things to us/others- it matters to him about his Children..GOD is so good!

Etsy Shop FINALLY open!!!

Yes, I can't believe that I finally did it, after 5 years of dreaming of opening an Etsy Shop, it's official! One more thing to mark off my Bucket List!

Honestly, the itinerary did not go as planned because the girls were so excited to see us- they didn't want us to leave & do anything without them! We did go swimming on the last night and we did loads of shopping. We also went to Trader Joes & Whole Foods to buy all of our Thanksgiving foods, we actually planned the menu on the drive up- so excited for that! Unfortunately we didn't make it to downtown Greenville or the Mountains, but we will definitely go back and be sure to do it next time.



As far as doing one NEW thing- It was my first Alice in Wonderland Play & I did the girls stage makeup for both nights, they didn't want anyone else to do it, they said that I was super talented {funny, the things kids say}. I truly enjoyed spending time with them- I don't think I have ever felt so welcomed and loved {and fought over} in my life. I overheard one of my nieces say, she's just the best Aunt ever {with a sigh}- the sweetest thing I have ever heard ever. The oldest niece, Elizabeth, said that she liked just the two of us hanging out together- they were seriously such a boost to my ego. Hopefully, we will get to hang out again around the Christmas Holidays.

Weekend Getaway!

Hey guys, I was talking to my MIL last week and she mentioned wanting to see the grandchildren in the Alice & Wonderland play that they are starring in & we {meaning the hubby} volunteered to drive her to Greenville, SC! I'm so excited because I really need a breather & I could use some time to get my thoughts together instead of sitting around here worrying about the job & house situation. I'm also excited to see everyone- my BIL runs the Chick Fil A there, so hopefully there are some grilled chicken sandwiches in my near future!



We will be staying at the Hilton in Downtown Greenville- after booking the hotel, I realized that we are surrounded by shopping & coffee shops in every direction- so excited for that! I am also hoping to fit in something off of my bucket list, no matter how small..Anyone have any ideas of fun things to do in the Greenville area? I would love to hear them.

Friday- Shopping & Coffee!
Saturday- Mountains/Hiking
Saturday Night- Alice In Wonderland Play/Hang out with the Family
Sunday- Whole Foods Visit/ Downtown Greenville/ Spending time with Family
Swimming at Hotel Indoor Pool - every day hopefully!

Sunny Sunday!

It is such a beautiful Sunday here- the sun is shining & today is actually warm! The hubby & I listened to an online sermon this morning and had a lovely breakfast of organic waffles & bacon and now we are headed to town to pick up some basics. Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday!!
